Located in a gracious century home, Jubilee Road Children’s Centre provides children with a beautiful space in which to grow and to explore. Filled with natural light and wooden, child sized furniture the house is a welcoming comfortable place. The centre accommodates just 28 children on two levels providing ample space and opportunities for children to develop warm and lasting relationships with friends and teachers in this intimate environment.

Our curriculum approach emphasizes natural materials and begins with the understanding that learning takes place during play, in stimulating and carefully prepared environments. The educators at Jubilee Road Children’s Centre use observations of the children as the starting point for making curriculum decisions. This type of planning is responsive to the children’s interests and to what they are exploring during play. Our teachers use this information and their observations to build upon and develop plans that are rich in opportunities for children to further construct knowledge through exploration, field trips, visits from outside resource people, and hands-on experiences.

Throughout the centre parents will find displays of images and information to help them to understand what their child is learning. In addition each child’s unique experiences are preserved in a portfolio of their work for the family to keep.

We are committed to providing high-quality care and education for children in a supportive and stimulating environment that welcomes children of all abilities and backgrounds. Families are seen as partners and we welcome collaboration in all aspects of the program. We strive to keep appraised of cutting–edge approaches and new research in Early Childhood Education, resulting in lifelong learning for staff and quality services for children and their families.
